– Ngozi Ukazu will write and draw the YA graphic novel “Barda” for DC.
“Static Team-Up: Anansi” #1 is due out June 6, with covers from Nikolas Draper-Ivey, Natacha Bustos, and Edwin Galmon. DC also announced that “Shadows of Dakota” will be receiving an extra seventh issue on top of its planned six-issue run, due out on September 5.
Anansi originally appeared in the Static Shock animated series, voiced by Carl Lumbly. Written by Evan Narcisse with art from Charles Stewart III, the one-shot takes place between “Static: Season One” and “Static: Shadows of Dakota,” and will see the fan favorite character aiding Virgil Hawkins against the supernatural side of the Milestone Dakotaverse. – “Static Team-Up: Anansi” #1 will see the DC Comics debut of Anansi.
